How do I apply your solutions and which ones do I use for maximum effect?

Our range of products can be applied on many areas where you have moss and algae. You have a few products in our range to choose from and a couple of tips depending on your own situation and preferred method of application.

Step 1. If the moss is heavy or thick, scrape off any excess growth so that the solutions can act on the roots as quickly as possible without having to work through the plant. This is particularly necessary with our longer-working biodegradable solution Batimoss.

Step 2. Apply our solutions in dry weather and allow a 'drying period' of at least 24 - 48 hours, so that the product is not diluted.

Apply Batimoss - one-step biodegradable solution working gradually over a few days - leave to act and do not rinse. This is the choice where you want to protect other plants, where you have delicate surfaces or even where you do not want to contaminate water with wildlife etc. It is also ideal as a fungicide to be left on the surface and can even be used as a fungicidal wash before decorating etc OR

Apply Batiface to kill the moss within a couple of hours. You will need to rinse it off within a few hours or once the moss has died. This is a very rapid product and there should not be problems with other plants or wildlife if rinsed off and heavily diluted but if this is an issue, then use Batimoss. You also do not want to use it on delicate surfaces susceptible to bleaching such as carpets. However, it is the preferred solution for quickness and for heavy areas, or for example for contractors who need to see results within a day.

Step 3. Scrape off any dead moss that has remained on the surface, especially if you need to clear the area or prevent fall into gutters etc.

Step 4. (OPTIONAL PREVENTIVE MEASURES) Whilst the above steps have completely removed all growth, including the roots and will prevent regrowth for some time, even months, this can also depend on the area in which you live, the climate and the introduction of new airborne spores. We have 2 measures for preventing regrowth:

If you have used Batiface, you may like to apply Batimoss. As this is a fungicide that is left on the surface without rinsing, it will leave the solution on the surface to prevent regrowth.

In any event, we also have Hydromoss. This is a water repellant sealant. Silicone based, the dried solution forms a barrier to prevent water and rain penetration, so protecting the surface against further root growth for many months.
