Timber Fencing

Moss Killer - Remove moss & green from fencingTimber fencing, whether timber panels or close boarded fencing will start to show 'greening', especially during the winter months. It really doesn't matter how well looked after the fencing is or how old it is the growth will still appear.
Again it is not too difficult to remedy, as with all of our products, if you allow them to do their job your life will me much easier.
EXISTING FENCING
Wait for a dry day. Not only would you not want to be outside during a downpour but it will not allow the products to settle and dry upon the surface. The surface should be dry before you start. Brush the surface to remove any dust, dirt and loose growth. Once done spray a coat of CONCENTRATED MOSS & ALGAE KILLER - Batimoss CR. This will kill the algae/moss/lichen and, most importantly, ensure the spores are dead.
Leave the Batimoss CR to act and after a few days brush the surface to remove any loose, dead growth. This process can be repeated annually or when the first signs or fresh growth appear.
Once the dead growth has been removed you can paint or stain directly over the Batimoss CR.
NEW FENCING
Once the fencing has been fitted and is dry simply spray the area with CONCENTRATED MOSS & ALGAE KILLER - Batimoss CR. This should be done BEFORE you paint / stain the fencing and it ensures the spores are dead prior to the coating being applied which will ensure a longer lifespan of both the wood and the coating.
