Remove Moss & Algae - Clean Timber Decking

Timber Decking, whilst looking great and being very functional does have a problem and that is it can become very slippery during the autumn & winter months. This is caused by algae so it is very important that the area is cleaned to ensure this does not happen.

PREPERATION

The area should be brushed remove any visible growth as well as loose dirt.

TREATMENT

Once this has been done spray the area with MHN-F SURFACE CLEANER. Dilute 1 part with 10 parts water, spray or brush onto the surface before working the area with a soft brush. After 10-15 minutes rinse with a hosepipe or small pressure washer.

After the surface has been cleaned, and is dry, spray the surface with CONCENTRATED MOSS & ALGAE KILLER - Batimoss CR. This will kill the spores that cause the growth and is then designed to stay on the surface to inhibit re-growth.

FUTURE

You should always try and keep the area clean and remove leaves and anything that causes shade across the area especially during the winter months. Brushing the surface occasionally will help and does take too much effort.

In addition to this, we recommend treating it annually simply by brushing the surface and, on a dry day, apply a new coat of CONCENTRATED MOSS & ALGAE KILLER - Batimoss CR.
