Artificial Sports Surfaces

Moss Killers - Remove moss from an artificial surfaceArtificial grass and synthetic turf is now used in many areas and not just as sports surfaces. Many people now have such surfaces as patio areas, pathways and in place of real grass in their gardens.
The surfaces have many advantages however some surfaces can become coated in moss. The method for removal and prevention is quite straight forward and indeed there are a number of ways to undertake the task, the basic steps are as follows:
Brush the surface Try and remove as much of the growth as possible either with a brush or soft rake. The more growth that can be removed manually means that you will use less moss killing products therefore you will save money and the products will work quicker.
Apply CONCENTRATED MOSS & ALGAE KILLER - Batimoss CR. Prior to application you should ensure that the surface is as dry as possible and that rain is not forecast for about 3-hours which should be enough time for the product to dry once applied. Batimoss CR will kill the remaining growth and spores and then remains on the surface to inhibit re-growth. Batimoss CR should NOT be rinsed.
Future Nothing can start to grow until nature has completely washed away the Batimoss CR. When you consider that moss has not started to show for quite some period of time this will again be applicable and the time period will start when the Batimoss CR has been washed away. We recommend that the surface is kept as clean as possible and that leaves and other types of covering are removed and that the surface is occasionally brushed especially in areas where shade or water retention is apparent.
With regards to re-application there are two options firstly is can be re-applied on a regular annual / 18-month basis or when the first signs of fresh growth are seen.
